STUART SPEEDWAY RESULTS (August 22)

STUART, Iowa (August 22) - Bobby Bowman of Winterset outclassed the field Sunday night, easily winning the IMCA Modified feature event at Stuart Speedway.
Bowman, who started in the fourth row, sped past the front row starters and into the lead almost at the outset of the 20-lap event and continued to put distance between himself and the rest of the field as the non-stop event continued. Ben Hoesing of Boone was second, followed by Dan Sprunger of Earlham, Mike Pruitt of Stuart and Rex Parkison of Earlham.Other winners Sunday night were Bob Daniels (Des Moines), IMCA Stock Car; Todd Riesberg (Dawson), IMCA Hobby Stock; Bolb Lam (Mitchellville), 305 Non-Winged Sprint Car; Brian Miller (Grand Junction), Dwarf Car; Jeromy Christensen (Greenfield), Front Wheel Drive, and; Howell & Bushnell (Madrid), Two-Person Cruiser.
Daniels overtook early leader Michael Walrod to capture the 15-lap stock car main. Eric Stanton, Jerry McElderry and John Watson rounded out the top five finishers. Dave Baugh of Jefferson sped to the lead, but dropped out on the last lap with a flat tire.
Riesberg, the popular driver from Dawson, won for the first time in the No. 55 car at Stuart. He led all the way to score the victory over Bill Bonnett, Jacob Murray, Jamie Schirm and Nyle Godwin.
Lamb, a 60-year-old driver, held off a strong field of 305 sprint cars. Veteran Dave Farren was second, Shawn DeMan was third, while Bobby Thompson was denied a sweep of all four sprint car events this year at Stuart, as he finished fourth. Rob Kuble rounded out the top five.
Miller scored the dwarf car feature win ahead of Mike Morrill, Bob Egeland, Jimmy May and Randy Rudolf.
Christensen held off 13-year-old Josh May of DeSoto to win the front wheel drive main, while Michael Ross, Chad Kugel and Blake Miller rounded out the top five.
